Increasingly convinced that different species need to go, because people can't handle them. They are different species, not humans in different hats. It's fine for them to be corrupt and evil. If all they are is a flavor of human, what's the point?

Good thread, let's check the replies! Sigh. Like the Goodman Games post, the storygame TTRPG community interprets it as being all about them, despite being a small minority of the entire TTRPG community. Network effects matter. Ben's predictions will be vindicated.

I'm worried about this. "Something happens on every roll", like "something happens at every level", leads to bloat and slows the game down. I'd rather attack every 3 minutes and miss than once a half hour.

I've had the most success running public games at my FLGS, and recruiting from that pool. It builds the community, introduces people to new games, and gives me a large player pool. Sometimes you get weirdos. But that's worth it for the community.
