Sometimes that harm may be minor, or abstract, or a near miss. Often, it isn't. We are reminded today of colleagues who have lost their lives to fatigue, often around night shifts. Few regions lack a story. We lost our friend before I graduated (not pictured) #CCPOM2022

It #Q&A time here at #CCPOM2022: Q: How do you "convince" a pt expecting a GA to have sedation? A: Most patients prefer it when it's brought up. Offer them a "margarita on the beach" effect (I'll have a mojito if you're going) and titrate to their desired effect as you go!

1/12 🤔Why does iron deficiency cause fatigue, even in the absence of anemia? I have often equated iron with hemoglobin and oxygen-carrying capacity. But there is so much more to it!
