I’ve been successfully running a rental business with over 60 tenants for over 20 years without doing any of those things. Taking time to talk to prospective tenants when they view an apartment screens out nearly all the bad apples.

Being wealthy means being able to do what you enjoy. Maybe it’s picking up your kids at school, or traveling three months a year or drinking expensive champagne. Decide what being wealthy means to you.

Here’s a small idea with huge results: Try to never buy anything that is not on sale. You shop with after-tax dollars, so the savings of buying things on sale are bigger than you think.
