Won’t miss the bounce. Ridiculous we need officials to perform a skill just to start the game. We lose countless talented junior umpires who show potential but hit a brick when they can’t properly master the bounce. Good move.

The reality is that the AFL will never change this award. They love the vagaries that drive engagement (read clicks). It will simply become an award that the has less and less meaning or respect from the football community #brownlowmedal
