Today we served about 400 meals to the community. We couldn’t have done it with the help of all our volunteers. This picture captures about 1/3 of those who came to help throughout the day. The feeling of being a community can be difficult during COVID. That wasn’t the case today

I know I have my bias but I think the message of “support your local bars and restaurants” while also saying to stay home and not socialize is sending mixed signals and bleeding more and more businesses for no good reason

Defund the police isn’t about removing justice and law It’s about using education, social services, housing and other tools to prevent the crimes from ever happening It’s about being preventative not reactive It’s transformation of what “police” departments are, not their absence
