I just looked ahead on the @tcm schedule. Greer Garson will be the Star of the Day on August 14th. I’ll finally be able to rewatch RANDOM HARVEST (1942). It’s the movie that got me into movies….and taught me at age 9 that Redheads hold all the power. @BenMank77 Finally!!

An actor so quiet his brilliance was easy to overlook, Alan Arkin was also a sensational @tcm Classic Film Festival guest. I feared interviewing him, knowing he’d never suffer fools. But, of course, he turned out to be charming and brilliant, with couple of heroic parents.

After several notes back and forth @FedExCanada still is unable to solve the series of horrible mistakes they and @FedEx (🇺🇸) have made. This us so frustrating. The case notes reflect my story…not theirs. Hopefully they call me and are willing to take responsibility. 🤬

Here’s what I think (corrections invited): The Director’s Guild, much stronger at the time than the Writer’s Guild, made a deal with the studios in the late 30s to guarantee the director - and only one - went last. It changed forever how we perceive a movie’s artistic authorship.

Hey @BenMank77 is there some reason @tcm never plays #randomharvest. I love that movie. It’s the movie that got me into movies. Plus…it stars a beautiful redhead. #greergarson …what’s not to like. I want it to be remade with @TobiasMenzies in the Ronald Coleman role.
