The Imane Khelif story continues to rattle the progressives I know. I think the reason is that it maps as a case of self-ID over biological sex (not re trans, but as a DSD). They really struggle to face the medical fact of this person’s actual male sex.

Fortunately or not, sexual orientation absolutely is about biological sex, and cannot be overrun by gender identity. No matter how nice gay men may want to be about it, we cannot make ourselves desire vagina. My sexual orientation doesn’t recognize your gender identity, the end.
