I'll die on this hill: Hospitals should not charge patients or staff to park. For patients, it disproportionally affects those with the lowest economic status. And for employees, you're charging them to essentially come to work; this most affects employees who make the least.

I have spoken to many nurses and they are scratching their heads about the removal of mask mandates. Did they ever ask a nurse if this makes sense to them as they are directly impacted? Or any other health professional other than an MD? Or does our voices not matter?

It's 4 pm on a Wednesday. The majority of ORs in the province are now closed for next 16 hours. Instead of creating, funding and diverting staff to a parallel private system, @ONgov should invest in the underutilized public system we already have.

The "status quo" has hospital ORs fully operational 40h per week. (8-4pm, M-F). The "innovative" idea is creating a parallel for-profit system with no designated regulator. @ONgov could immediately increase capacity by 25% to 50h/week by funding extended OR hours from 7am-5pm.

The best indicator for hallway medicine is wait time in ER waiting for hospital bed. In June 2018, that time was 14 hrs- not great. cbc.ca/news/canada/to… Today its 22.4 hrs- 57%⬆️- & hospital RN vacancies have never been higher. @brianlilley is it time to repeal Bill 124?
