SCDOT is working closely with Dominion Energy and our state partners to make repairs to the damaged walkway over the Lake Murray dam. For now, a portion of the walkway is closed and will remain closed until the completion of the repair. (1/2)

Ahead of schedule, crews removed the lane closure from the southbound lane of this repair project. All lanes are open to travel southbound at this location. Work on the northbound side continues to move forward on schedule. Please continue to drive cautiously through the area.

IOP PD responded to a shooting on the beach behind Sea Cabins. Four individuals were shot and have been transported to MUSC with non-life-threatening injuries. Several law-enforcement agencies on the scene to assist with the investigation. Investigation is on going.

Driving near I-77 in Columbia? Check sc511.org for traffic info. Closure of I-77 NB from MM 0 to MM 5 may cause delays. Plan your detour route in advance and drive safely! Crews got started last night on I-77 bridge rehab, working round the clock through April 2.
