Phage lovers! Introducing Phage-Induced Immunity (PHI-II). This discovery suggests that some phage can not only treat an existing infection (well known) but they can also immunize to prevent a future infection (new finding). Read about the adventure here: pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
The new phage therapy regs mean no licensed products, strict GMP rules, and high costs limiting access, slowing innovation, and deterring investment. Patients rely on ad hoc imports and “last resort” use. Time to break the impasse and unlock phage potential! #AMR #Phagetherapy
