Why is Van Buren deficit spending? Since 2011, federal funding per pupil has decreased by 40%. These losses must be absorbed by the district’s general fund to cover mandated services, shifting the school funding burden to local taxpayers. successforvbs.com #successforvbs

How can we change our state funding revenue? In short...we can't. According to the Ohio Performance Team, there are 2 ways to change the amount of funding we receive from the state--lower our property values or rewrite the state funding formula. #SuccessforVBS
