We're appearing before the Portfolio Committee today. Govt maintains that electricity is not a basic necessity and, therefore, will not be zero-rated. It refuses to disclose how much it has been collecting in VAT from electricity, citing the taxpayer confidentiality policy.

Can the constitution be tested against itself? In other words,can the constitutionality of the constitution be tested against the constitution itself? These questions have left us with no option but to apply for a review on the judgement on Lejone’s case in the Court of Appeal 🇱🇸

Democracy will only win if we, democrats protect, preserve and fight for it. The country’s democracy post 2022 general elections is under siege in a democratic Lesotho. Since then parliament is threatened and attacked, media and judiciary not spared. The masses are starving.

Challenge to Lesotho academia! Now that S.A enters into coalition gov at national level for the first time, its academia has begun to intensely write academic papers on the subject. S.A is behind us on the subject by 12yrs but we have no single paper on the matter.

For now I don't comment on the authority of ECoL to communicate the content of this nature to schools. But government is ill-advised to introduce this part of curriculum FOUR MONTHS before Grade 7 exams. Our children are set to FAIL! Teacher organisations, esp LESPA, wake up!

Anybody who wishes to amend and/or alter in any form the Lesotho constitution should embrace the fact that She is a Westminster multi party parliamentary democracy, a democratic constitutional monarch and this nature cannot be replaced/annulled/dismembered.
