Prediction: Lisa Cook will prevail in court and remain at the Fed. The case against her was a baseless attempt to undermine the institution, essentially a political witch hunt. Trump often complains of “witch hunts,” yet here he is orchestrating one himself. The irony.

So effectively, Trump now holds majority influence over the Fed Board. Once Powell resigns, he can appoint his own chair, push rates back to zero, flood liquidity, drive asset prices higher, but at the risk of undermining reserve currency status and fueling inflation. Accurate?
