Ever heard of #ux design-tool-bias? Is that term taken yet? (: I’m referring to the top-class monitors used for checking #uidesign results. With vast colour ranges, ultra-high resolution, and always more on screen than a user would see in a real-life viewport.

😱 How did this horrible #ux come to life? I’m taking this personal! This form is not only auto-suggesting the user’s first name from some list, but when leaving the field it automatically assigns the first one from the list.

You can follow a tester on a Figma prototype, so when #ux testing remotely you can record your screen if they cannot record theirs. Pretty hand!

My advise to developers who are getting started testing with screen readers for #a11y: Don’t mess with the screen reader. It’s meant to read like that! On Stack overflow, most questions I read lately are for ways to change what the screen reader announces perfectly fine.

I’m linking to @scottohara ’s great article Inclusively Hidden a lot recently on stack overflow #a11y questions, and I’m wondering: Why is there still no standardised way to hide elements visually, but not from assistive technology, like `display: sr-only`.

Do you need a “Confirm E-Mail” field? #uxdesign Chances are you don’t, but make sure developers do not suppress the browser’s autocomplete. #rant It‘s very purpose is to avoid typing errors. Suppressing it and adding a confirmation field is just horrible usability.
