After 24 years, 3 and a half months, I end my working career from covering the City of Hamilton. This is, of course, not my choice. It was done under the auspices of financial expediency, without class, without loyalty, without regard for the communities that are served...#HamOnt
@WerkHCN All the best on the next stage of life. It was an honour to work with you Kevin!
@WerkHCN It was a pleasure to get interviewed by you and all the best in your future endeavours. journalism is a lost art, you are one of the last few that hold those values !
@WerkHCN Thanks Kevin. Your work was a vital part of keeping us informed of what was happening at City Hall. I hope you are able to serve the community in the future. You will be missed!
@WerkHCN Hopefully the talent the media has lost will regroup as as consortium of some type that will take advantage of a shared resource to bring back the stories from smaller communities and journalists will directly share in the revenue it could generate as a central news feed pool.
@WerkHCN A good reporter treated very badly by his employer. Good luck Kevin.
@WerkHCN Sorry to hear that Kevin. You’re a pro and a good man. You shouldn’t be treated this way. Happy to keep an eye out for opportunities.
@WerkHCN Kevin, I enjoyed our short time working together and always appreciated and respected your work since. Our community has a hole in its core now with you not covering politics. Nobody was as calm, fair and honest as you. Thank you Kevin.
@WerkHCN Thank you for all the excellent coverage you gave to social justice issues in Hamilton over those years, Kevin. I always appreciated your balanced voice and clear writing. While these cuts were made without loyalty and class, you have both those attributes in abundance. 🌈❤️
