I used an 11" telescope to capture a solar Eclipse on Jupiter. This photo includes Ganymede, a planet-sized moon that orbits the gas giant, blocking sunlight from reaching the cloud tops on the planet's limb. This was done with off-the-shelf consumer equipment. No NASA required!
