US cradle Catholics left the church because of the felt banners and girl altar servers you see. Nothing at all to do w/sex abuse crisis where people in positions of power & apostolic authority were covering up the rape of children I am a very serious Catholic intellectual🙄

Padre Fermin Lasuén's (OFM) room at San Fernando mission circa 1797. Padre Lasuén was not Mallorcan, unlike Padre Serra, whom he succeeded as President General of the California missions. Rather he was Basque. He was president of the missions for 3 years longer than Serra was.

I don’t mind screens inside the church. Put lyrics , the creed, a QR code for donations during offering and announcements up there at the end. Not everyone sees as well as eagle eyed 23 yo convert; save me from my spectacles. Also my old man runs those screens and does great job
