Biggest professional woe: Google docs not having "exemplar" in their spell check dictionary
#KnowledgeRichCurriculum I'd rephrase a bit - all students come to the classroom with background knowledge, but they don't always have the content-knowledge needed for school settings. Many of them have a wealth of knowledge not directly related to school! Asset framing :)

I've learned a LOT at #TRLSummit2023 -- but my biggest takeaway? Multilingual speakers MUST be celebrated and supported for all of the strengths by everyone involved in education (esp. for the way-cool elasticity of their brain circuits).
I met a super cool five year old at CVS when I was getting my vaccines who was a phenomenal reader - he read all of the vaccine signs to me (decoding the harder words SUPER quickly) and I taught him the words arachnid and rapid!
Currently hosting a webinar with guest speakers @sstollar6 and @AmyMurdoch4 -- I will never stop being impressed by how hard Mount St. Joseph worked to make an amazing reading science program!
