I’ve just sat writing my Mother’s Day card to my step-mum with tears steaming down my face knowing I should be writing one for mum. It’s incredibly hard, to live life without someone you had always planned to be there.

I forever miss being a paramedic, but I do not miss the emotions that came with seeing PT’s in corridors, ambo’s stacking up and the staff so overwhelmed / overworked
