Discipline your child as a display of power, and they'll fear you...and eventually distrust you...and then resent you. Discipline your child out of love and with love, and they'll respect you.
Five years ago, I wasn’t the man I am now. I wake up at 4am. I train every day. I’ve built habits and systems my former self never thought were possible. But the one habit I still struggle with? Writing. Because it touches fear—not discipline. I’ll explain tomorrow 👇
One of the hardest moments as a dad? Pulling into the driveway after a shift where I’ve witnessed death and flipping the switch from stoic firefighter to present, loving father and partner.
