Picking kids STEM toys feels more and more like evaluating the software market; all 3rd party integration plays and premium add-ons. Oh, that toy? You need an iPad. That one? You also need this other software to make it work. #spoiled

I think SIEM as a “single” integrated stack is the bit that’s under most significant change. The future looks more and more like smaller step functions / streaming applications. Lots of open source projects here, but nothing yet that looks like a mature offering.
