وقتی یک سری از اشیا داخل دید دوربین نیستن، نیاز نیست که براشون draw call انجام بدیم، مخصوصا زمانی که اون اشیا تعدادشون هم خیلی زیاد باشه، مثل درخت ها یا چمن ها توی همین صحنه، برای رفع این مشکل از frustum culling استفاده می‌کنیم، انجام تست این که هر شی توی دید دوربین هست یا نه ...

GPU-Driven Frustum culling using compute shaders. WebGPU/C++
پیاده سازی shader آب برای بازی خودم، توی این روش، از دوتا تکسچر دیگه که هر فریم رندر میشن استفاده می‌کنیم، یک تکسچر برای reflection و یکی دیگه برای refraction، با میکس کردن این دو با قانون fresnel، این افکت ساده ی آب ایجاد میشه.

Having some challenges with cascaded shadow maps . Gaps between frustum splits, fitting issues, and the far frustum isn't calculating correctly when viewing the scene opposite the light 🥲. Still, it's kinda working, but gotta keep tweaking! Any tips? 🙏
Jungle scene, 40000 grasses, 13000 trees, instanced.
Adding alpha testing made the scene feel more alive.
Procedurally placing foliage on the terrain.
Instanced Grass mesh, each grass has 3336 vertices. WebGPU and C++.
Shadows and shading are not correct, but things are improving...
Weighted Blended Order Independent Transparency (WBOIT), maximum four layers per fragment using WebGPU / C++
