I've talked to nearly 1,300 clients in the last 3 years. One thing I'm convinced of: Companies want generalist designers. Designers who can design landing pages, while designing logos, while designing slide decks. Restricting yourself to just one thing is a really bad idea.
If you're a brand designer, you need to know these. Re-positioning, re-vitalization, and re-branding all have different meanings, but most designers misuse them. Here's a thread to understand their differences:

I think about spaced repetition forgetting curves for marketing/branding absolutely all of the time. Did you just launch? You need to get in front of people again at 2, 7, 30 and 60 days later if you don't want to be forgotten. This is the stuff brands are built on.

I only design landing pages, not websites. Why? The business model I'm running requires quick project turnarounds. I can't afford to create websites with multiple pages. Multiple pages = more time to create = more feedback = more rounds of iterations. Not worth the money…
