@_workchronicles Why I love my scrumboard, "Sure I can do this, please help me decide what I'm moving to the next sprint to make room" is one of my favorite conversations. 😈
@_workchronicles The SCRUM approach (in DevOps with no formal sprints) has allowed me to grow quite comfortable with "having too much on my plate". If the manager requests something new, I just ask if it's higher priority than <what I'm working on and next things> and happy days.
@_workchronicles Triggered. I once got reprimanded for quietly working from the back of an all hands, an exec said I was being rude. Next one I watched online from hidden spot so I could keep working without notice. I was told I was still in the wrong for not managing my time well enough 🙄
@_workchronicles "it's nothing to do, he can't tell me he doesn't have time for it. I cant' believe it. 5 minutes and it's done"
@_workchronicles sure, lemme do everything before then end of next monday, but if there are critical bugs, you will not come to me, deal?
@_workchronicles Ugh really hate it when I got manager like that, if it’s true, why don’t you do it yourself then? 😒
@_workchronicles @Infosec_Taylor Well that was an instant follow. 😅 #mylife
@_workchronicles So very true. It's hard to decide when to do something or delegate it to someone if you're an Engineer with timeframes. It's faster when you do it but it's not high nor low priority to push off
@_workchronicles Hahaha das ist so Realität 😅
@_workchronicles Agree. I think as long as there's no timeline to pursue there's nothing wrong with that. Works according to value or just FIFO.
