the problem with Claude code is it has too much freedom to look around your repo, figure out the context and try to cheat - I spend a lot of time obscuring the context so I actually get the outputs I'm looking for

when VS Code first launch it was a lightweight and open source alternative to all the porky IDE's you used because it was bundled with your compiler - now were coming full circle again turning VS code forks into bloated vendor locked IDE's because you don't know any better
