@ErikSTownsend @JeffSnider_AIP: Is the problem in the Eurodollar system or in the fact that there has been too much debt buildup worldwide? i.e., If we had a neutral reserve currency and the same amount of debt, would we still have had lackluster growth? Thanks for your insights.

Question for @LukeGromen : I don't understand China oil for renminbi and gold float concept. If Russia can request gold for yuan, how is that different from Russia or SA using dollars they get today to buy physical gold rather than dollar assets? @KoosJansen

Is there a scenario where they might return to past levels if they perceive risks to have reduced? I understand his POV that the current system isn't working. But I don't understand why he rules out the chance of it ever working again.

@MacroVoices @ErikSTownsend @JeffSnider_AIP @MarkYusko @LukeGromen I understand @LukeGromen and @MarkYusko POV that the current system isn't working (for countries not named the USA). When @JeffSnider_AIP says the current system isn't working, he is making the case that Eurodollar banks will never return to the glory days of pre-2008
