Potentially the most bizarre tale I've ever found about a CFC man. Harry Hughes was on our books without making a 1st XI appearance in 1922-3. I think he's the chap who was in Blackpool at the time of his death in 1973 and was part of a huge cock-up that saw him cremated twice.

RIP, Phil. I auctioned off a squad signed shirt last season for the @as9foundation in which Phil got in touch and bidded £1,500. Even though he was the clubs owner, he said he’d never want the lads to sign a shirt for him for free and wanted to support the foundation ❤️💙
