Consider this your daily reminder to make sure you're not playing in production ... was in dev looking to remove unused system generated statistics on a 25k table db to run downa theory. Somewhere along the line, I grabbed a new window in prod. Whoops. The secondary was not happy

Ever have one of those moments where you kick yourself for incompetence? I spun my wheels for 3 days on a dynamic sql issue. I was missing the parenthesis. Yup, feel like an idiot now

I was proud to report in our daily incident meeting that yesterday [due to reasons outside my control] a report in dev had gone awry and I wrote a kill loop, in a loop. It tickled my maniacal genius buds but was successful at killing the process.

#sqlhelp is there an easy way to create all of the agent replacement tokens? Not sure how but jr on my team built a sql box not following our standards ... I find out its in prod after. None of them exist.

Why must my @DoorDash order always be wrong from @Wawa? I'd say it's a 90% failure rate of something missing or not made to order. Yes I can get a refund of partial purchase but now I have to reorder it, pay extra fees and tip.

#sqlfamily we're finally starting to look at monitoring/management tools after pausing 2 years ago. SentryOne was the top of our list then. Since solarwinds acquired, has the product changed much? Is it still a top product in the category?

I am loving @dbatools again this morning. Had scheduled steps for an upgrade that I wasn't sure I'd be available to run. Scheduled my steps and it just handled it all in 4 simple commands

Do I have a right to be mad at a vendor who did nothing on a support ticket for 10 days, then on the 11th day replied and said as of the day prior, that product is no longer in support and we need to upgrade? Please contact professional services.
