Our PhD student, Gergő Vilmos Szabó, found that Balanced Electrolyte Solutions (BES) resolve diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) faster than 0.9% saline. BES also improved chloride, sodium, and bicarbonate levels. Time to update DKA guidelines! #DKA pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38925619/

Our meta-analysis assessed the effects of acid-suppressive medications in adults with non-specific chronic cough. Data from 11 RCTs showed PPIs reduce cough severity (SMD 0.33, CI 0.05-0.61) but prolonged treatment doesn't improve outcomes. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38796481/
