I've officially quit. No PhD, no turning it into an MPhil. I have a full-time job I love and I want my life back. Solidarity to anyone who quit any kind of degree. What we did had value: skills, knowledge. Quitting is not failure, it's simply taking a new path.

@realDonaldTrump I cannot emphasize this enough. HUMAN LIVES ARE WORTH MUCH MORE THAN THE DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE. The economy is important but what use is money if you and your loved ones are dead? Money can always be made later. But your life cannot be refunded and purchased again.

@realDonaldTrump Trump called the coronavirus a hoax and basically said, “it’s just the flu, bro.” Now he is lying and saying that he always took it seriously. He is pivoting towards xenophobia and racism to blame Chinese people, and by extension, all Asian Americans too. We’re his scapegoats.

Google’s Project Baseline coronavirus screening website appears to be one huge data mining operation to collect your health information for commercial purposes. It does not appear to follow HIPAA privacy laws. No wonder Trump was pushing this so hard. This is dystopian.

I am ringing the alarm. We have now found >400 papers that all share a very similar title layout, graph layout, and (most importantly) the same Western blot layout. This is a massive #PaperMill of (what we assume) fabricated data.
