Chris Silverwood and Ashley Giles oversaw a fairly disastrous Ashes tour and have now lost their jobs. Probably fair enough. I'm looking for a housing analogy here but struggling, so I'll just observe that neither of them lied or blamed anyone else for the poor performance.

Many homeless people live in hostels. Their personal energy costs are recharged to them by their landlord to be paid through a service charge. As the landlord may not have a domestic account, these vulnerable people will see no benefit from the 'discount' (i.e. loan) on offer.

Good to see passionate discussion about the proposed 1% pay award for NHS. Would be a shame if this drew attention away from the pay and working conditions of care workers, whom many of us might rely on to look after our loved ones - or ourselves - at some point.
