I'm fully on the "Defying Gravity" hype train. First heard it in London six years ago. Listened to it at least 100 (!) times with my children over Christmas. Last night my wife & I watched Wicked (the movie) and heard the new version for the first time. Man, it's a great song!

Surreal moments as my book spent some fleeting moments in the TOP 10 Christian Theology books and hit TOP 5 for Artificial Intelligence. It’ll never get there again and, honestly, I don’t think it’s worthy of it. Either way, I’ll be forever grateful! Thank you, Lord.

As Churches venture into the future, be like Columbus: AI is a vast ocean. Your role as captain (under God) is to observe the seas and skies constantly, using the most up-to-date navigational charts available to you to make the best decisions. Staying informed is vital.

Why church leaders should stay informed about AI. 1. Be proactive, not reactive. 2. Address societal issues. 3. Address existential issues. Issue 1 is smaller but closer to home. The others are increasingly broad and distant.

Christmas is a strange phenomenon in the West. Much of our culture elevates Santa - who ruthlessly judges our behaviour and gives temporary gifts in return - over Jesus, who gives eternal life and relationship based on HIS merit. I much prefer the latter!

A preemptive rather than reactive church is better prepared to be effective in its mission. This is why the Church should dialogue around artificial intelligence sooner rather than later.
