I think it’s time for me to tell my full story. It might lose me some followers but so be it.
16 years ago I started doing .NET development before anyone knew what it was. I got a job with Accenture and was sent to work on the Unemployment System for the state of Colorado. I was completely self-taught. My step-dad gifted me an MSDN subscription in 2001.
I hope you all realize how uncomfortable this makes me feel. I expected a few likes and a retweet or two. I am not...special. My goal was to inspire ONE person going through what I went through. I feel I deserved exactly what I got for the crime I committed. I am not a victim.
I’d like to clarify a few things. 1. What I did was bad, really bad. I deserved the time I got. It’s really hard for me to provide a blow by blow of what happened. Just please take my word, I got what I deserved.
@denvercoder You have come a long way in the past 5 years. I’m so proud of you. I’ll always support you no matter what. I love you so much and Sophia and I are lucky to have you in our lives 🥰😘.
@denvercoder You gained me as a follower. I, too, had consequences from alcoholism, and like you have a long gratitude list today because of them. Especially my wife @maryamie Thank you for sharing and congrats on digging out of a deep hole. It is inspiring!
@denvercoder Your story is so inspiring. I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that, but I’m so glad you’re at where you’re at now!
@denvercoder This thread is absolutely gut wrenching but incredible to read. Please read it. It’s okay to root for the author; I sure as hell am.

@denvercoder Thank you for opening up and sharing your story, and congratulations on all that you’ve accomplished!! You are an incredible human to be able to turn it around like that, of course with the help of the incredible people you had by your side. You’re an inspiration 👏👏👏
@denvercoder I truly think this thread will help shift the opinions and views many have of felons and hopefully help drive tech to become more inclusive. The fact that this caught the attention of many prison reform activists says alot. So happy you went viral 💎
@denvercoder Tim, I'm struggling with trying to find a way to use my company as a way to work on helping people who are coming out of the system not fall back into a life of crime. I've got to balance the safety of my team with my desire to help be a part of the solution.
@denvercoder You are awesome Tim! What an inspiring story. If you lose any followers that’s their loss! You gained a new one here!
@denvercoder 👋 Well if you lost any followers, your story at least gained you this one 😁
@denvercoder I’m sure I’m not the only follower you’ve gained 👍
@denvercoder See 2.22 Tim it's obvious twos are your lucky number #twotwotwo #TTT there's also a book in your journey as people want to read pain not hype not pleasure which they know is nonsense in life and business
@denvercoder You’ve gained a follower from Nigeria. This is a great story of redemption. Have you considered running a podcast? You can help a lot of people.
@denvercoder Unbelievable story man. Inspiring as heck. 👍
@denvercoder This thread confirms my notions on my brief day teaching entrepreneurship at Kern Valley prison w/ @Bluefishgroup - good luck & keep going!
@denvercoder Amazing story Tim! This is both why I love twitter and why I support @LambdaSchool . Amazing what having one high-need skill can do to help you dig yourself out.
@denvercoder Thanks for sharing your story this is so powerful, uplifting and inspiring!
@denvercoder Amazing story and amazed you told it here. Hope someone got your message. Never give up, never loose hope.
@denvercoder @CathyYoung63 I’m thinking you might gain some followers, contrarian that I am.
