Google & Apple Maps are always wrong. Takes 60-90s longer than predicted. Because I drive at the speed limit. So when planners say bike lanes will increase vehicle commute times by 1min, they mean bike lanes often force people to drive at the speed limit ie we are all safer.

The government is “stealing” money for the bike lanes in Bellevue said someone yesterday. Drive 90 miles to Bangor to see the one trillion dollar nuclear submarines. Bike lanes are not the problem.
Look what just happened! Overlake hospital wrote a letter to the City of Bellevue in support of 15 miles of connected bike lanes. To reduce carbon emissions and make community members safer. Go @OverlakeHMC - other hospitals need to catch up!

It’s remarkable that in Ireland, a new LNG terminal has been denied planning permission as it would conflict with government climate policy. According to this new analysis, methane leaks at every stage of LNG production and transport make it worse for the climate than coal.

Eastlink starter line is a GO!!! Light rail is now on track to open in East King Co as soon as next March. Trains will run from S Bellevue through Downtown, hospital district, Bel-Red neighborhood and into Redmond. Can’t wait to ride the train on the east side of the lake!
