Seeking asylum is a human right. It’s actually a legal right Enshrined in the Refugee Convention. A convention every single western country is a signatory too. You know the same ones whose governments call people seeking asylum “illegals.” What’s illegal is their policies

Also it doesn’t just add “difficulty in access” - for many kids, esp rural/remote or family under financial strain, it essentially means no access to asthma preventer inhalers that are safe and recommended for age group.

Mark Latham is unfit to serve as a member of parliament and should resign. That is not a partisan view, it is the only acceptable consequence of his consciously chosen actions. There is no place in public service for a person who expresses destructive bigotry as he has today.
