A hard lesson for people to learn as they move up is that their role has a larger blast radius with each promotion. A suggestion as an Individual contributor is a suggestion. A suggestion as a VP is a mandate if you’re not careful. The same goes for behaviors.

As expected, I’m achy, have a low grade fever, and am very tired after my booster, but this is totally worth it to protect myself from worse. Highly recommend getting boosted if available and ok for your medical situation.

I’m still feeling like hot trash, but at least the fever has come down. Up side of my pandemic caution: the only time I have felt sick in the last couple years has been scheduled and part of a prophylactic measure against worse sickness.
