Two great reasons that S corps should never hold Real estate -you don’t get basis for debt -property distributions are recorded at FMV and can result in a gain Partnerships are the way to go!

Had a client this week with a decent tax bill. They told me that they shouldn’t owe money because they didn’t actually have the money that their biz tax return says they made in income. Taxable income and cash flow are often two entirely different numbers.
