With the Fed keeping shortest-term rates down while allowing longer yields to rise a bit, currency-hedged 10-year US Treasuries offer a much nicer return than equivalent bunds. For a while, it was too expensive to hedge the possibility of a falling dollar which wasn't appealing..

After a partial retracement and being largely range-bound, US yield curves have been steepening again. This is particularly the case for 2s-30s. More steepening, should it occur, would raise a number of interesting policy, economic and market issues. Worth keeping an eye on this.
