Published v4 of the Figma plugin 🤌 You can now insert your colors (with names and hex codes) into your Figma file as style guide documentation. Colors update automatically when their linked variable changes. Unfortunately, the hex code label doesn’t. Would be nice though 🤔

Discovered 485 "expired" subscriptions still had access to UI Colors Pro 👀 They stayed "cancelled" forever in my database. I don’t mind the access part, but I’m worried the Lemon Squeezy webhooks aren’t 100% reliable. Anyone else seeing this?

Lost my job as a Product Designer in April. I am going all in on building UI Colors and other small SaaS products. UI Colors has been making a nice income, but I don’t want to rely on just one product 😅 Excited about what’s next, but also a bit scared!

Creating beautiful color combinations is about to get even easier! Soon, when you hit the spacebar, the generated palettes will follow color scheme theory. Generate on "Auto" mode or select a specific color scheme. It will be VERY hard to create ugly looking color combination
Just gave color scale saving a big upgrade! 🚀 You can now save palettes, a set of primary, secondary, and tertiary color scales grouped together. Should’ve built this way earlier... 😅

📣UPDATE: You can now view and share a color scale and the UI examples based on a hex code in the URL. Pro users can also add a 2nd and 3rd hex code to generate secondary and tertiary color scales. 👉 uicolors.app
Just updated the Contrast grid! I’ve added some explanation about the contrast values and how to use them. When you hover a color combination, it shows the specific hex codes for the background & text and you can click to copy.
I’ve given the design a major refresh! You can adjust the primary, secondary, and tertiary input colors while simultaneously viewing the results in the redesigned UI examples. This is temporarily available to all users, and will become part of the Pro subscription afterward.
I’ve spent hours and hours perfecting the UI examples to look great with 1, 2 and 3 color scales, dark and light mode 😅 I’m finally happy with it. Soon, Pro users of UI Colors will be able to generate, customize, and preview 3 color scales at once across all UI examples 🚀
