@fintaxdude From TPS issue (sept) .. another agent called 3/15ish to relay I would receive call 3/28… operators STILL WAITING for Call.. GL🍀🤪
@fintaxdude Sounds like the IRS phone call dance I did Monday! Point 3 for me would be: got a call back at 6:30pm. Finally resolved on the call, but it's draining. Hope they actually follow through and you don't have to call again on this issue! 🤞
I typically only call AFTER I mail or fax a written response (writer). Even when I provide the written response to the rep I can't resolve the issue.
@fintaxdude This has been my exact experience lately. I cannot get anything resolved by phone. They want it faxed or mailed. And you have to wait for a response that usually doesn't resolve it and you start the cycle over.

I spent over 3 hours on the phone w/the IRS. Result: 1. Hung up on twice. 2. Talked to 4 different agents. All of them passed the buck or said they can’t help me. 3. I have to mail my response (after faxed twice) and call back to see if they did anything. #taxtwitter
@fintaxdude @1momofcb It seems like lately the agent didn't have access to the area where they could solve the problem. Mostly sounded like tech issues, because, you know, they're working with 1960s computers. Their cell phone is almost undoubtedly more powerful than the computer in their desk.

@fintaxdude I have resorted to calling senators @MichaelBennet is on the IRS oversight committee. I haven’t heard back but if enough people reach out it should get his attention.
