Looking back at this fall June 10, 2023. For many years I’ve struggled with difficulty’s in my Right Shoulder. This fall has brought me to the point where I need to be very aware of how I’m moving it. Grateful I have @gmbfit programs to help me address this situation.

Lots of gyms treat your body like a collection of unrelated parts. But real athletic power and agility come from the precise coordination of all your joints and muscles to achieve your goal. If you want to move that way, you gotta train that way.
Most people stop practicing new physical skills when they're kids. You crawled, you walked, you ran, you jumped… Then what happened? Most likely, you sat down and started working. That shouldn't be the end.
If you stick to the movements and exercises you're already good at, you'll be stuck with the same limits and restrictions you've always had. Focus on your weak links to quickly unlock new skills and abilities.
It's okay to be mediocre at fitness. You can only be great at one or two things at any given time in your life. For most people, fitness should **support** those things, not be one of them. Embrace mediocrity. Be great at what matters ✊
Lots of fitness tries to sell you a path from where you are right now to elite level performance. But you're not elite. And unless you're ready to quit your job and spend most of every day training, you're not gonna be. Train for the stuff that makes your real life better.
Diet perfectionism is a commitment to quitting when you make a mistake.

My in season waterski training schedule is becoming clear. As usual @gmbfit programs will be essential! This is when my objective changes from strength, training to to focusing on mobility and control.
There's a reason you don't see pro athletes doing whatever the most-hyped exercise of the moment happens to be. Because hype ≠ results. The basics are the basics because they work. gmb.io/basics/
@gmbfit @JoelSnape Thanks for the suggestions both. The rep range/%RM from Dan John seems promising, also allows focus on quality of rep which ties in to what GMB emphasises in their courses. Have a modified cycle to try, and if I still stuggle then I re-assess on work load/skill building
