Tech jobs be like... #100DaysOfCode
@hashtagcoder Is this true? I've not gotten an offer by way of a traditional interview
@hashtagcoder This hurts really! So much good talent is sidelined because of a toxic process 😣
@hashtagcoder I was got interviewed for a unicorn startup in my place, got a take home test they ask to build software using tdd and bdd. After that at tech interview I asked them "do you use tdd?" , they answer was "No, we dont" . 😅
@hashtagcoder I actually often see interviewers at small firms just asking the candidate "do you know Java?" and other chit chat. Especially the Swiss are too polite; they just believe what is written on the CV. That kind of "soft interviewing" stops when they have their first mishire.
@hashtagcoder @nixcraft @LisasDays something like this?
@hashtagcoder So true. Asking someone to code red-black trees during an interview and then asking them to do mind numbing ETL work amounts to bait and switch.
@hashtagcoder For the record I'm the bear in this scenario
@hashtagcoder I'm terrible with interviews even though I use to be a hiring manager at a company so I feel like this is opposite for me
@hashtagcoder Hahha and you are geeting the job or not depend on which one character you are😅😅😅
@hashtagcoder In my very first experience this was the other way around
@hashtagcoder @codedailybot I laughed too hard at this. I'm still in tears.
