One of the tarpits with AI products is that you end up dumbing down the model in most cases, despite it being very capable. Steering and getting value out of AI is hard, but AGI is going to require a lot of bold product decisions, not incremental features.

Anyone saying that GenAI could replace software engineers don't understand how software is created (and operated.) Tool innovations have always make the process of building software faster, cheaper: GenAI and AI agents will also do this. These are tools and efficiency gains.
