We lost our carers allowance this year because we were earning £20 over the earning limit of £139 a week. That means cutting back on food & other essentials, for us & our Disabled daughter. We are not alone in this as a family. Meanwhile those who perpetuated this misery ..👇

3 days left of term at primary. Daughter with autistic diagnosis, adhd traits and dyspraxia has a zero funded EHCP, no idea where to go in September and I haven’t heard from LA since march. Tribunal is 15th September. What do we do?! #send #ehcp

Peers or members of the House of Lords can claim a £322 “daily allowance” to attend Parliament despite never having to speak or vote. Carers claim roughly £16 a day for working 24/7 to keep a family member alive. Fellow carers, we need to get on a PMs resignation honours.

LAs named secondary school has costed support required for my daughter at £27k. The LA currently has £0 funding attached to EHCP. Should be an interesting appeal and tribunal! The independent setting we want is costed at £16k. But apparently that’s unreasonable spending…

I really want to raise awareness about selective mutism & how hard this is for children who experience it: -It's not really selective -Inability to speak in certain settings -Paralysed by anxiety/fear about speaking -Can result in most basic needs not being met #AutismAwareness

Gave the LA benefit of the doubt and went to mediation. Made out to be idiotic parents. They are allowed to ignore a tribunal order yet we as parents have to just accept this. Zero accountability. Zero support for my child. Zero funding attached to EHCP. Why do I bother.

is it normal to have nothing in the social care section of an EHCP for an autistic young girl with MH issues? No support for the EHCP & can’t afford a professional to review it but as they’ve already turned down her choice of school I’m worried! Help! #SEND
