One was designed to be practical for average suburban folks to carry stuff on a regular basis. The other was designed to make guys feel like they are tough and rule the road.
Why is our political discourse so toxic? Because our electoral system isn't built around working together and finding common ground. It's about criticizing the opposition enough that the handful of swing ridings that decide every election will vote in your favour.
If we wanted to learn to live with COVID, we could have: -improved ventilation -provided free N95s -expanded PCR testing -increased vaccine uptake -upgraded vaccine passports/mandates -legislated 10 paid sick days for workers This is surrendering to COVID, not living with it.
So...Ontario underspent by $5.5 billion this year: On health care by $1.3 billion. On social supports (e.g. ODSP) by $1.1 billion. On education by $212 million. But...they're planning to spend $6 billion to build a new highway? It’s a question of priorities.

I don’t know about you but I am actually raging about the situation in Ottawa. If it were Black, Indigenous or any other racialized group it would have been enforced and over before it began. I’m tired of seeing the injustice. If your not outraged, your on the wrong team.
Shock. Shock. Shock. Gas prices are at the highest level in 7 years while Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell & BP made nearly $25 billion in profits last quarter – the highest level in over 7 years. The problem is not inflation. The problem is corporate greed, collusion & profiteering.
