@joshcarlosjosh If you can believe it, I stumbled upon a thread of Tolkien "fans" who now love the Hobbit trilogy and hate Rings of Power. I'm sure - by the time they come out - that they'll love RoP and hate the new movies. Going the way of Star Wars fandom now.

@joshcarlosjosh It's a pretty drastic difference between inflating a short bedtime story to 3 feature length films and squeezing 6 dense books packed with extensive appendices into the same There's easily a couple more films worth of unadapted original content in there if they handle it right
