What if the real lesson from DOGE is actually that the government is MORE efficient than we thought? This shit they keep finding and/or making up is really the best they can do?? I honestly figured the waste was far more expansive.

New selections under DOE's Transmission Facilitation Program just dropped. $1.4B will support 4 high-voltage lines: Southline Phase 2, Cimarron Link, Southern Spirit & the Aroostook Renewable Project. Will result in 1k miles of new Tx build & enable over 7k MW of capacity.

This is the first SunZia tower with linemen on the structure. While this is in Arizona, it’s still a big milestone. As a 50+ year member of the @IBEW, my dad would really have appreciated this moment. Wish he could have lived to see it.

Even 7% gas share or just 3% coal used to directly or indireclty meet the new demand from electrolysis would blow the $1/kg limit of 1.5 kg CO2 per kg H2. This is why you must demonstrate ~all new electricity demand from H2 is met, hour-by-hour, with new, deliverable clean supply
