@natfriedman At Xamarin I left every day at 5pm and I prioritized a healthy life/work balance - and hope I lead my people that way. I think that asking people to work extra hours just give you low quality output. And in the context of these layoffs is crass.

When people point out that your actions don't match your stated beliefs, it *should* hurt. And that should motivate you to work on making your actions and beliefs align. If the fact that you're hurt matters more to you than the gap between belief and actions, that's a problem.
