It is deeply disturbing that organisers of the #NotMyKing protest in London have been arrested this morning, before the protest even began. Whatever you think of the monarchy, the right to peaceful protest is fundamental to democracy. This is a chilling violation of that right.

MPs just voted on proposals to hand tax cuts worth £1,000,000,000 to the richest 1%. I voted against this alongside Labour colleagues, but the Conservatives voted it through. That's really no surprise. They're the party of the 1%.
