I feel CMMI, IMEI can help Seafarers for MMD Examination center at Chandigarh. I did take this Initiative few years back but failed in the mission. Noida MMD is overflowing with candidates. Now with Paperless exams at MMD, Seafarers biggest challenge is local Logistics at Noida.

Indian Officers demand is high. We must be doing something good. Bulk Carrier Master wages USD 4000 PM in Year 2002 and today its USD 10500. 3rd Mate Wages in Year 2002 was USD 1700 & today its USD 3000 PM. Every year India produces only 500 new Masters and 2000 New 3rd Officer.

Seafarers Medical sign off in Africa / Korea be careful. Sometimes Insurance clubs can keep u there for long in Hospital & inflate Bills for their Money claims. Take advise from Company Doctor / family Doctor. Recently seen such cases. Better fly to India for medical attendance.

Good News! Rec'd confirmation @dgship_goi will conduct open house for Seafarers soon at Mumbai and subsequently a regular grievance redressal through open house. 1st one done at Chandigarh on 27th Dec 24. I will personally attend such session with Seafarers
